We are pleased to be hosting the 2010 Summer Changes EverythingTM national conference in partnership with the Lilly Endowment and the Indianapolis Summer Youth Program Fund, a funding collaborative that provides grants, coordinates professional development opportunities, and disseminates community information to support summer programs serving Marion County youth.
Over the past two years, the National Summer Learning Association engaged with the Lilly Endowment and the Summer Youth Program Fund to launch a comprehensive community initiative aimed to strengthen the collaborative’s partnerships, improve the quality of funded programs, and solidify their summer learning strategy. We also developed a Professional Learning Community, a results-oriented group of providers who met regularly and worked in collaborative teams for a common purpose: to improve summer programming. Currently, we are deeply involved in the community, working to better align existing resources in order to touch as many young people as possible with comprehensive summer programs, and are pleased to showcase the greater Indianapolis summer learning community at our upcoming 2010 Summer Changes EverythingTM national conference.
