Training
The National Summer Learning Association offers a variety of web-based and face-to-face live trainings for programs, funders, technical assistance providers and other stakeholders. Note: Cost for in-person trainings accounts for trainer travel expenses. Space and meeting expenses are not included in these figures. All pricing information on the training offerings below are available upon request.
Standard Webinar: Association staff will deliver a standardized webinar on core content for an audience of your choice. Topics include Summer Learning Research, Summer Learning Quality Standards, Outcomes-Based Planning, Summer Culture and Staff Development. Standard webinars are 60-90 minutes.
Custom Webinar: Association staff will customize a training webinar to your audience's needs. We will develop original content on a summer learning topic of your choosing or adapt existing webinar content to meet your specific needs. Custom webinars are 60-90 minutes.
Comprehensive Assessment of Summer Programs Assessor Training: Learn how to recognize and assess quality in summer learning programs to inform continuous improvement in your community. Using the Association's research-based assessment battery and program improvement toolkit, hone your skills in providing objective, actionable feedback to promote youth outcomes and sustainable, high-quality programming.
Emerging Leaders: Core Concepts in Summer Learning: One-day training focused on core summer learning research and quality indicators for TA providers, program officers and/or program directors in your region.
Summer Learning Forum: Let the Association help you build a dynamic agenda and get the right people in the room for a forum on a summer learning-related issue important to your city, state or organization. We have an outstanding track record of planning and facilitating issue-oriented summits to mobilize and engage key stakeholders.
