2019 Conference Highlights

The National Summer Learning Association’s (NSLA) 2019 national conference, Summer Changes Everything™ in Atlanta, Georgia was a rousing success. This year NSLA hosted more than 500 attendees over three days in Atlanta with conference attendees spanning the U.S. and the world: 36 states plus the District of Columbia, Canada, and Australia. We also recognized four exceptional programs during our 2019 Summer Learning Awards presentation and you could win too! The Call for Submissions for the 2020 Summer Learning Awards are now open through December 4! Visit www.summerlearning.org/summer-learning-awards to enter today.

NSLA thanks the many sponsors, exhibitors, partners, and attendees for joining us and participating in informative and innovative sessions that provided insights and solutions into the evolution of the field from closing academic achievement gaps to now addressing opportunity gaps and fostering social-emotional learning.

Summer champions took to social media to share their experiences and spread the word that summers matter for our nation’s children. Their voices gave rise to nearly 2 million social media impressions during the three-day event. NSLA is pleased to present these highlights and memorable moments from the conference and we hope to see you again for our next convening.
