About Discover Summer
Created by the National Summer Learning Association, Discover Summer is an online resource that makes it easy for families to search for programs near them and gain tips on how to engage their child in fun summer learning.
Discover Summer aims to make it easier for families to:
- Discover summer programs in their communities, including accredited summer camps, by the American Camp Association and summer enrichment opportunities at local YMCA’s, and Boys and Girls Clubs across America
- Find Free Summer Meal Sites
- Explore FREE resources related to youth mentoring, college and career preparation, the arts, academics, wellness, and more below

Thanks to the work of No Kid Hungry, there’s a federal program to help families buy food during the summer. And there’s another new program that will help kids this summer: rural communities can now offer meals delivery and pick-up services, instead of requiring children to travel to the sites where the meals are served.
