National Summer Learning Week

Summer—a time that is easily overlooked yet critical to educational development—is bursting with possibility, and instrumental in closing the opportunity and educational gaps between children from lower-income communities and their peers from higher-income communities. NSLA shines a spotlight on the importance of summer throughout the year and especially during the critical months of the summer season.

National Summer Learning Week is a celebration dedicated to elevating the importance of keeping kids learning, safe, and healthy every summer, ensuring they return to school in the fall ready to succeed. During the week of July 8-13, each day will focus on a new theme: Literacy, STEM, Arts, College & Career Readiness, and Nutrition and Wellness.
