About National Summer Learning Week (July 8–13, 2019)

Led by the National Summer Learning Association (NSLA), National Summer Learning Week elevates the importance of keeping all kids learning, healthy, and safe every summer—ensuring they thrive in the school year ahead. During this week, the country will unite in efforts and celebrations hosted by hundreds of libraries, museums, and other partner organizations to lift our voices that summers matter. Join us in shaping smarter summers, brighter futures by showcasing how quality summer enrichment opportunities can stem summer learning loss and change the lives of millions of young people.
