2022–2024 Camp-School Partnership Demonstration Project

NSLA has partnered with American Camp Association to create the Camp-School Partnership Demonstration Project, a collaborative initiative aimed to serve low-income, high-need students most affected by the pandemic.

About The Camp-School Partnership Demonstration Project

National Summer Learning Association (NSLA) and partners American Camp Association (ACA) will disperse funding to 10+ camps to implement high-quality, camp-based experiences that support middle-school students' social-emotional learning and also address COVID-related learning loss.
Research will be gathered to demonstrate the positive effects of camp-school collaborations, and we will share how these partnerships can build long-term capacity for even more successful partnerships. Download our overview sheet to get involved!

Funded by a generous grant from the New York Life Foundation and the Mott Foundation, each camp will receive $25,000 toward a camp-school partnership, and matched by $25,000 in Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief funding from schools, districts, and/or community organizations.

Thank you to the New York Life Foundation and Pinkerton Foundation for their support.
