Healthy food and safe places to play, learn, and grow; rich community resources and access to boundless opportunities.
At the National Summer Learning Association, we envision a world where all children, regardless of family income, are nurtured, supported, and encouraged to be their best. Our expectations are high and our focus has been steady. For nearly a quarter century, we’ve led the charge and changed the conversation about summer learning, and what it means for young people.
Together, we’re helping to encourage collaboration between schools and community organizations, increase funding for high-needs students, and embed summer learning into the 12-month planning cycle at school districts across the country.
Our work is having an impact. NSLA provides support and training for communities and programs nationwide, tracks the progress of policy changes and government funding, and continues to identify key partners and opportunities to expand the summer learning movement.
